About Alyssa
Hey there!!
Welcome to my corner of the Internet!

Alyssa Peyton, a real life Barbie (or so she's been told), is an accomplished musical theatre actor and director currently based in Houston, TX. She is a 2021 grad from the University of Tampa with a BFA in Musical Theatre. As a performer, she is a versatile and sweet triple threat with genuine Texas charm. Whether performing or directing, nothing lights her up quite like musical theatre (and new music from Taylor Swift).

As an acting and audition coach, Alyssa is dedicated to help her students reach their highest potential while building confidence in themselves. She believes in fully inclusive casting and holds her actors, no matter what age, to a high level of professionalism. She has also found a passion for intimacy coordination, and believes every moment creating art should be safe. She takes workshops from Theatrical Intimacy Education to further her education and work towards certification.

Alyssa believes in teaching with the mindset of removing trauma from theatre training, and focusing on the joy of performance and collaboration with likeminded artists. Alyssa is so excited to put her skills and passions to use in whatever is next for her, but for now, she's gonna keep on dancing at the pink pony club.

"Alyssa is an outstanding student with a sharp intellect, a quick wit and an eye for the artistic sensibilities. Her in-class critiques are astute and insightful; her delivery is respectful, and her advice is much appreciated by her classmates."
Emma Robinson, student
"The amount of effort and time she puts into every moment of rehearsal is beyond impressive and beneficial for the show process. She's always focused on what can be improved while also celebrating the things that are already good, and is incredibly structured. She cares about and prioritizes safety and mental well-being, connects with everyone and makes everyone feel welcomed and accepted. She builds trust, not just a leader/follower dynamic. Alyssa is incredibly creative and she helps push the cast to be more creative as well."
Brooklynn King, student
“Alyssa sets a terrific example of what artists and directors should be, on and offstage. She gets real with [the cast] and allows us to see that artists need to be allowed to feel if they are to create. She is the definition of a wonderful director. Her professionalism, care, attention to detail, and excruciatingly hard work do not go unnoticed."
